My Zoo
Today, as our world becomes more and more "flat" and virtual, people yearn to go back and enjoy simple activities and hand gestures regarding the object surrounding us.
"My Zoo" is a series of toys addressing these people, bringing toy features that are desirable for young kids and adults.
The toy series consists of laser-cut acrylic figures, which first appears as simple geometric shapes, which can open up and become different animals.
All parts are connected by a gear system which makes them move simultaneously, and reveals the animal identity.
The mechanism of these toys is inspired by various hand tools, which I find to attract children and adults alike.
It holds within an invitation to play with, both in open and closed structure.
